Rownhams Park is a delightful place to live; peaceful, and quiet , yet spacious and surrounded by trees. This semi-rural location is just 3 miles away from the city of Southampton with all its attractions.
Transport links to Southampton and beyond are excellent, with the London/Weymouth train line located in central Southampton and the ferry service to the Isle of Wight is situated just a short walking distance away from the main city centre. Junctions to the M27/M3 motorways are close by.
Southampton is ideally situated, with the New Forest and all the facilities it has to offer, to the west and 9 miles to the north lies the city of Winchester. Romsey, home of the Mountbatten family is just 3 miles north of Rownhams and this is just a short bus ride away from the park.
A lovely comment from a resident of the park is set out below :
“My husband and I moved to Rownhams Park in 1970 when it was being upgraded from a caravan park to a site for park homes. We saw many changes and improvements and never regretted our decision to live here. My husband died in 1991 and I continued to live here alone, enjoying all the advantages of this pleasant, friendly park which is tucked away in a country lane but with easy access to either Romsey or Southampton. There is also a large supermarket only 10 minutes drive away and several smaller shops and post offices in easy reach.
The park is well maintained and the park manager is always on hand to give help and advice, if needed. I am looking forward to enjoying more years on this popular park.” – PC
